Summary:
I have 2 Hearthlings that are stuck together, running in place. I’ve tried changing their jobs, using the town alert function, and putting new work nearby them.
They simply run in place and can’t seem to get loose. It looks like they’re both occupying the same side of one voxel, but not directly overlapping each other, only partially.
Steps to reproduce:
- Mined out an area for beds
- Workers going to harvest materials.

Version Number and Mods in use: Playing Single player mode, but i have the Multiplayer version installed. Release-841 (x64)[M]
System Information:
Asus Rampage - Socket 1366 mb
Intel i7 950 ~ 3Ghz
EVGA Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 1060 SSC
12 GB 1600mhz triple channel RAM
Did you try using the debug tools to teleport one away from the other? Shift-L Click on one of them and select ‘teleport’ from the drop-down menu. Just move them enough away so they’re not overlapped. That might fix the issue of their collision.
Update:
Tried running the game in fast-forward until one of them died from starvation to see if it freed up the other - it did not.
I did not, will reload and try that, thanks.
RIP poor Hearthling. I knew you not, but my Hearthlings will feast in honor of your short life.
Well, I enabled the debug tools… unfortunately… idk what im doing. Lol
I couldn’t figure out how to TP a Hearthling, but was able to Rotate them, and that FIXED it!
Thanks for the advice! Obviously the bug is still a bug and needs fixed, but at least now I can play this file.
