Hearthlings should prioritize chests and other boxes first, then fill storage zones only when there’s no more space in chests ?

I use stockpiles only until I can get chests. After I do, I delete the stockpiles so my hearthlings automatically carry stuff to chests. If I need a visually indicative stockpile (i.e. furniture, equipment), I’ll restrict it to just those things.
It actually makes sense to favor the stockpile to me? The point of a stockpile is to have a quickly implemented space to drop stuff you’re working with before it’s properly stored away. That doesn’t work if people ignore it and run off to the chest instead.
