Thanks for the log, @PudgeWiggleII! Just as an FYI, you can always upload dump files to sites such as GitHub Gist and paste a link to the URL. Anyways, you won’t have to worry about the “new” restrictions very long, they fade fairly quickly (in as little as 10 minutes).

@PudgeWiggleII - The log is showing an out of memory error. I’m assuming you were running in 32-bit mode with a decent sized town. You should run stonehearth as a 64-bit process if possible (use the Settings->System menu in the game). Can you do this or are you on 32-bit only Windows?

I can do this, but for some reason the 64 bit doesn’t launch.

So just launched the game through steam, and in the top left corner it says x32 ,but I started it in windowed mode and the saves work. I restarted it again in peaceful mode and the save worked. The reason I am confused is I didn’t do anything to help it but change it to windowed.

then perhaps the problem is related to full-screen… i personally proffer windowed mode for games, as full screen can sometimes cause problems with my computer.

but this is an interesting development to this problem. @Albert is there any reason that full screen would cause problems?

It does seem to be that way. Haven’t crashed either knock on wood!

Ah, yes. Saves take a screenshot of the game.

@not_owen_wilson - We have a case where saves work in windowed mode, but not full screen. Something to consider when you return from PAX.

My saves seem to work but I played for a good while. Similar to 5 hours or so, and I got an in-game error message that deleted auto saves and other saves to my first save for my game so it was kind of a waste. Is that a bug that is known and will be fixed in the next patch?

Edit: I loaded a saved game and instantly got an error. I copied to the clipboard.

The sleep in bed error is already fixed on our end.

I will try to recreate it, but I should of been more specific. It deleted the auto-save file. It was just the manual save that was there.

I got the same error as I posted above but the saves did work so it’s not that error. I’ll play longer to get the other error that I got before.

@Albert So here’s something interesting regarding saves. I have mine windowed and I expanded it to “Fullscreen” that’s still windowed and saving didn’t work. I manually made the window size smaller and the save works. That’s odd.

We take a screenshot for the save, so something in that code is not happy. I’ve filed a bug on it for us to take a look.

Awesome! I’m excited now for it. EDIT: OFF TOPIC I KNOW but Multiplayer is far away but the thought is game breaking (in a good way).

Now that @not_owen_wilson is back from PAX, perhaps we can get his insight on this.

That would be nice. It’s hard to stream this game in windowed mode haha

Unfortunately, he’s having some physical discomfort and is currently out. Hopefully, he can take a look when he gets back.
