Game freezing every few seconds (ROG Gamefirst Service)

Recently bought Stonehearth, but been unable to play it on my desktop PC because it keeps freezing every few seconds.

Here’s my desktop PC’s specs

  • Asus Maximus VIII Ranger
  • 24GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM
  • i7-6700K
  • Asus Strix GTX 980Ti

As soon as I start a new game and place the banner, the freezing begins. It’s completely unplayable. On my laptop however, which has way worse specs than my desktop, the game is running just fine even with 15+ villagers.

The camera does not seem to be affected by the freezing, but everything else is.

We’ve found that stuttering in the game is usually caused by a network packet inspector running on your system. Programs which have caused this problem include:

ROG Gamefirst Service
Kaspersky

Try making an exception for Stonehearth in your anti-virus / anti-malware software or disabling packet inspectors / privacy software and see if that solves the problem.

I just shut off ROG Gamefirst Service and the game is running perfectly now. Thanks!
