Game crashes on world or citizen generation

Everytime my game tries to generate the world or my first party, the game flat out crashes and I can’t find put why. Can anyone help?

Mods maybe?

I haven’t downloaded any mods tho.

@Alby_Eon_Skylar, could you upload your stonehearth.log after the game crashes?
It should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Stonehearth.

This is it right?

That is probably a video driver issue. That driver is probably very old. I have the same ‘Intel® HD Graphics 4400’ but my driver is 20.19.15.4835, not 10.18.10.3277 like yours.

Search for ‘Intel® HD Graphics 4400’ drivers and the first link should be correct.

ok, so I tried downloading the same version as yours but nothing changed. the latest version doesn’t meet the requirements for me to download it. If possible, can you fetch me a link?

First of all, try updating your windows, fully, let it download and update it all. There is high chance that it will install the driver for you.

Else, this link contains the most recent version:

At the left side you will see downloads for windows 32/64bits and in .exe and .zip format.
Usually you can just download the .exe and open it to install. In my case I needed to get the .zip and do a manual installation.

Ok, so I tried downloading the lastest version by .exe, but it says my pc does not meet the requirements to install it. Updating it fully did not work either. I reinstalled the latest version on zip un unzipped the files, yet nothing. Is there anything I have to do with the unzipped files?

You can go to your pc brand site and try downloading updates for it there.
If it does not work, your system may be prefering the pc brand driver even when its older. One thing you could do is uninstall all video drivers you have and then try again with the updated versions from intel.

To try a manual installation, try following this guide: How to: Install and Update Hardware Drivers in Windows 10 - Microsoft Community

Nope. Nothing works. Real damn shame. this pc is windows 8, not 10.

thanks for the time and patience, I guess I’ll have to wait a few years for updates or until I can get a better pc
