@Sdee, could it be possible to have an export option to generate a file we could use to import a scenery in 3D softs?
I’m not a minecraft user but I do know such option is possible because we can see on the web some cool pieces of landscapes coming from this game. Having such option would be great to promote the game and to keep a trace of constructions we could lost with new releases.
The goal would not be to export the whole map but perhaps a consequent zone via a dedicated selection tool…

I think even 3rd party software could probably read the save files and create a, say, Blender scene from it [Blender’s advantage being that it can have multiple scales and supports rotation, while no pure voxel modeling software that I know of can.] Of course, that would take a lot of work and reverse engineering, and would probably need to be redone every time save compatibility was broken. Or, there’s the alternative method of trying to get in between Stonehearth and the GPU and saving the geometry from that. That wouldn’t need to be redone often, but it would require some low-level hacky programming.
An official way to do this would be great, if the team ever gets enough extra time.

You could rip it from the game with some 3D ripping program … if I get the time I might try this today and post pictures here I don’t know though. It would be nice to have an official software for this or something like that.

Heh, i’d be more interested in a way to import an edited map back into the game!
