Evolve into a landmark

strange question @Relyss and @max99x
i havent tested this yet but, theoretically speaking, could something evolve into landmark? using the “stonehearth:evolve_data” stuff?

as for the why’s
think shrines. you make a big acorn, as a shrine. place it. complete tier 3 quest with it.
it turns blessed. add effect and evolve code: this blessed acorn can, after X days turn into a landmark. this landmark is a -turnip- ing huge tree.

and the real question would be, could i then tell it to evolve into the type of landmark files you can find in
scenarios\static\landmarks ? as in, would the game understand, on evolve, when “placing” the landmark file to use the “brush” stuff to paint blocks and thus make the landmark?

I’m not sure. But it should be quick to test. A dummy item into evolving to one of those landmarks in the geomancer. I’m not with the game right now so I can’t do the test.
Not sure how the game will handle the collisions though. Usual items do not evolve when the new form would collide with something.

probably a good plan to try it like that before i go full on detail work, good idea.

I know of no reason why it wouldn’t work, but you may run into collision weirdness like Bruno mentioned if the pre-evolution object is smaller than the landmark. If you do, you may be able to work around it by having one stage of evolution match the size of the landmark and immediately evolve into it.
