Container Full Indicator

well what is realistic in this game is that everything is block style so everything would stack nicely :smiling_imp:

lol poor wiese, you just cant seem to win.

i would have to agree it does look like a save.

i wonder if possibly, you could have it an open side and when its done have an animation of them hammering it shut when its full?

ok now im out ^^ i cant make animations ^^ sooo its your tour now to give it to tom when he streaming xD

so with the animation i think my first suggestion with 3 steps are the best ^^

just for info the create is empty when open

I like the idea of some sort of visual indicator for a full vs. empty crate… just going to toss out having some sort of particle effect for one or the other …

no need for additional crate models, just apply the effect if full (or empty)…

Just put a red sticker on full crates and that’s it! :stuck_out_tongue:

Just a little red X could work.

alrighty, heres my second attempts,

i made the “sticker” smaller, i like this a lot better then my first attempt,

here i did a red “X” as @Beatrice suggested, this ones not to my liking, mainly because i couldn’t put much “detail” into the x and it turned out really basic…

and now my favorite, i think its kinda obvious why its my favorite

whilst looking at pictures of old shipping crates i found one that had a crab painted on the side, so naturally i had to make a crate with a crab on the side. this one was done as more of a joke, but i still really am happy with how it turned out.

so what do you guys think?

Clearly you need to mod your game to have this crate now.

indeed… i didnt even think of that

but now that you’ve suggested it i’ll have to do it!

Could be a fine crate… :open_mouth:

While the idea is certainly possible, and it’d be nice to have that sort of thing, it makes it just as finicky (possibly more) to check crate levels unless it’s very obvious (such as the open lid, which also doesn’t look as good - it’d be better implemented as having the lid be a separate bone and the open view be an animation).

A view that shows these things externally to the objects would achieve the objective of actually allowing you to assess your situation and resource flow much better.
