Hey hey! I wish to see Template combining and saving come back! Before the building editor was changed you could place two templates and simply place a new building block down to connect the two and they would both become part of the same building you could then save the combined buildings as one template.

It would be hard to mod in because the new builder was explicitly made so things did not have to touch, someone would have to make a new sort of merg button or thing? And the builder part of the game, I have heared, is a scary thing because it’s freaking complicated.
