Blocks Designated as walls do not display properly in different view modes

Summary:

Blocks designated as walls do not properly display in viewing modes other than “Roof Visible”

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Draw four small walls at least 3 blocks high with the block tool. Make sure these walls have a lip or an overhang so they are not simply 1 block thick. They should resemble and upside down L. Set them all as walls. Set the normal of each wall facing a different direction. Make sure you set the normals properly on every block.

  2. Build the walls.

  3. While in building editing mode set the view mode to “back walls visible” About half of the time only two walls will be visible. Rotate the camera around to see the walls pop in and out of view.

  4. While in building editing mode set the view mode to “walls completely down.” All walls will be completely visible and not cropped.

  5. Leave building Mode. Set the View mode to “back walls visible” Results of this vary, but usually one wall will be completely invisible, one will be completely visible and two will flicker in and out. Rotate the camera to observe behavior.

  6. Set view mode to “walls completely down.” All walls will be 1 block high.

Expected Results:

When “Back walls visible” is active two walls should be visible about half the time. Display should be consistent between build mode and regular gameplay.

When “walls completely down” is active all walls should be one block high. Display should be consistent between build mode and regular gameplay.

Actual Results:

Both view modes are inconsistent between build mode and normal play. “Walls completely down” is only correct in normal play. “Back walls visible” is only correct in Build mode.

Notes:

You may want to build the walls in a ring and set all the normals outward so you can easily track if the behavior of the normals is correct.

Behavior is correct if the blocks are a 1xN wall. The shape needs to be irregular.
