After selecting to place the Blacksmith’s wall-mounted sign, the sign disappears. The workers will build a ladder and pick up the sign to place, however, the sign is never visible once placed. The wall-mounted signs for carpenter, weaver, and mason work with no issue.
It’s weird. I’ve just tested it with 10.5 - 10 and it seems to work fine 
Can anyone else confirm?
Check your map (especially around beds and tables) if the sign lies on the ground somewhere. We had this issue with previous builds (not sure if it ever got fixed) that sometimes workers drop whatever is in their hands when they feel the surge to sleep, eat etc.
If this is the case, you wouldn’t see the sign in your town inventory.
