Alpha 21 unstable - Gender change but not Name change

Summary:
If you change the gender in the roster, the name will stay the same.
Girls can have now boys names and the other way around.

It is not a “real” problem because you can change the name by hand but it can be a little bit awkward :smiley:

I don’t think this is a bug. I can’t think of any other game that changes its randomly generated character’s name if you change their gender.

Also if you click on the name field, you seem to now me able to set your own name for your embarking Hearthlings

I don’t think it’s a bug. What if you edited the name first and then you change the gender and the name changed?
You’d need to write it again.

But if you feel it’s too awkward we can move this to suggestions :slight_smile:

Agreed.

This has been a feature for long, but it was not clear that you could edit the name by clicking on it (you can also change it in the character sheet in-game).

Are you saying that we should give hearthlings names according to their genders?! I can’t believe how narrow minded you are, this is 2017 people! There are 48.3 genders now!

I was not aware! Guess that’s what I get for skipping alpha 20.
