Summary:
My hearthlings and Goblins can airwalk
I have dug out an area for clay.
Normally Goblins and Hearthlings would walk around but both can walk over it through the air as if the earth is not gone.

I haven’t been able to reproduce it on new savefiles, but it seems that in yours they still think that the terrain is there.
Also, it takes a lot of time to mine an area that big manually. I tried with insta-mine but they still path over the terrain.
