So I jerry-rigged a mod that I have (6 Starting Hearthlings) to only give me one hearthling. The challenge is to go as long as you can and get to the point of (at least) Geomancer. It seems easy in concepts, but unfortunately, the game glitches and throws an error when I try to place the banner…
the Error is as follows:
release-892 (x64)[M]
radiant/lib/check.lua:39: assertion failed!
stack traceback:

…vices/server/game_creation/game_creation_service.lua:646: in function <…vices/server/game_creation/game_creation_service.lua:562>
I’m not sure whats up. I try to place the banner, it throws this error, it looks like it places the banner, but it doesn’t…
Any thoughts? Assistance?
That is because the game is trying to put an item in a hearthling hand that it assumes exists. One starts holding the main talisman and the other starts holding the main resource (saw and wood, potter talisman and clay, or mason talisman and stone, depending on the kingdom)
So I would need at least 2 Hearthlings to get this to work properly? One for talisman, one for resource?
If you don’t mind a bit of cheating to get started, you can go without any mods, start normally and then pause the game.
Hit “Ctrl+C” to bring up the console, select all the hearthlings you don’t want and type “destroy” on each one.
Then un-pause and start your game with a lonely hermit

I decided to make a change. I’m going to make a bit of a story out of it, not one person, but 3…

I am aware of the destroy command, I just didn’t want to use it, for som reason. xD I think i haaave a thing against control commands, even if they get me where i want.
