[MOD] Hearthlings of Many Faces

Yeah, progress have been made! I wanted to wait until I had confirmation that it’s all fixed, but it’s time to give you guys an update on the situation.

I’ve been in contact with @max99x and @malley about this, since I was suspecting that the bugs came from the engine. And @malley did manage to fix the eyes, and we will see the changes in the next update (I think).
As for the eyebrows @max99x is looking into it, but it seems that it’s not that easy to find a solution, and considering that he has other priorities to deal with there’s no telling when we will see one. I’m still hopeful though that one will be found soon enough, so we’ll just have to be patient and root for him!

so the easiest solution would be to immediately kill off any new females and only use males to avoid the eyebrow glitch? if i want females they must first enter the game as males the use homf_custom to edit?

Sure you could do that, or you could just avoid using eyebrows at the moment (especially when the bug is visible). If you’re strictly looking for a certain look that involves eyebrows, then that’s how you would have to go about it, otherwise it’s a bit excessive way to avoid the bug (to me at least).

Whether or not they first spawn as male or female doesn’t really matter if you want to have a female hearthling, Since the eyebrows bug is not visible for the females anyway. So you don’t have to exit the initial customizer window when a new hearthling first appears only to enter it again with the homf_custom command.

Huhu Drotten - Workshop?

Update

As with Smart Crafter, you can now find this mod up on Steam Workshop!

It took me a while to upload this one since I thought a bug had creeped in while I wasn’t looking. Turns out there were some other mod(s) that caused the issues I was seeing. I’m gonna look more into which mod it could be and report to its modmaker, just be aware that you might see some issues if using in conjunction with one (or more) of the other mods out there.

Of course, this thread will still be updated when HoMF is updated, so all of you that aren’t using Steam will still be getting the latest of the mod through this thread.

Oh yeah, thanks for reminding me. The eyes have actually been fixed with one of the Stonehearth updates a little while back. I wanted to wait before updating you on this since the eyebrows isn’t working yet. But yeah, the eyes are fixed at least.

Mod update!

I’ve recently updated the mod to fix the multiplayer issues:

  • Clients can no longer customize the host’s hearthlings.
  • Clients can now customize their new hearthlings.

Will update the Workshop version shortly.

Special thanks to @MoonSight for helping me to test the mod and locating the problems.

Edit: Workshop version has been updated.

Hey! Thanks for letting me know.

So, some questions regarding this: At what point in the game did you get this bug? Did you play a multiplayer bug? If so, did the host or a client get the bug? How many were playing? Was it after multiple people got a hearthling from daily update?

we played multiplayer with 6 peoples - and a client has get the error ^^ and it was a the start so i think yes some of us has get a new hearthling

ok we has now get the error while rejoining of one player

Do you mean that one of the players left the game, connected to your game, and then the error popped up again?

correct - he has restarted the game and after he comes in again the error shown

Small mod update!

It now works for the stable and unstable versions again. Sorry for taking so long to update this, but lately I’ve been crazy busy with my part-time job.
