We have 4-wide cave doors, which makes sense for those who dig using the big cube tool, but for me I like 3-wide roads and thus 3-wide entrances to my caves at the end of some of those roads.
can’t you just use a normal door for that? or will the top stick into the roof…?
Can you even place those? I thought they had to be part of walls.
the ability to place doors and windows like any other furniture was added during A14 unstables, however, i believe there’s still a bug that you cant move them afterwards…

considering the 4x4 tunnel door was made so that the top didnt stick into the roof, so making a 3 wide door thats 4 blocks tall (rather then 5) is not a bad idea…
I also wouldn’t mind if the mason made stone doors.
stone doors models have already been created, just have yet to be implemented.
