was playing for around 1-2 hours and built up a 2 storey house, I had auto save enabled due to the crashes with it being Alpha, anyway while I was placing flower planters/boxes the game crashed and shut off, I reloaded but the auto save had gone, all my work and 2 hours lost grrrrrr

You mentioned that the crash happened when placing a flower box. Where you attempting to place the flower box directly into the game, or into a blueprint while making a building? Did you see any errors appear when the game crashed, or did it just shut off instantly?
I am going to page @Albert for you, he may have more to ask…usually I would ask for a save game, but you mentioned that it is unfortunately not there…
was placing directly in to the game, an error board came up but the game shut off to quickly to be able to copy to clipboard
