Can't Harvest Anything

Anyone else getting constant error messages whenever you try to harvest anything? Game is unplayable. About half of of anything I select to harvest bugs out.

So I don’t get this bug when I run Stonehearth on my laptop, so guessing it is a video card or some other specific issue.

It’s definitely a weird issue. But I don’t think it’s related to the video card.

Thanks for pasting the errors. Does this happens with everything since the start of the game?
Any time that you try to chop trees or harvest boulders or silkweed or crops that you planted?

From the beginning and on everything, including mining and plants. It lets me harvest some trees, but doesn’t seem to be any consistent pattern to what it does and doesn’t let me harvest. I also tried individually selecting the objects for harvest and even using the hotkeys, all had same issue. I did a complete reinstall as well.

A few more observations. If I individually click something to harvest, it does one of two things. Either nothing (and no error) or the harvest order goes through, but I get the error. Once the hearthling finishes harvesting the item, the harvested material sits on ground and never gets picked up. I also reduced all the graphical settings to the minimum, with no impact. Let me know if there is anything else I can test or a particular type of screenshot that might help. Thanks.

can you upload a save of the game? considering this is the only report I’ve seen of this issue (as far as I could tell), it doesn’t seem to be a common issue (I haven’t played the most recent update yet so I wouldn’t know). if it’s a persisting problem, and it’s tied to the save, one of the debuggers might be able to find it by play-testing your save.

Sure, dumb question. How do I do that? Oh and I have made multiple new games to make sure it wasn’t something specific to that save. Some quickstart, some not.

what I meant by “tied to the save” was that if you upload it and someone else plays that save, they will receive the same error. not that it only happens on one save, it’s entirely possible that your system just so happens to corrupt every game you start. and you can upload with this button: http://puu.sh/kaOX5/2c05ea7dc0.png

or, at least, I think you can upload saves with that button. if not, just put it on dropbox and then post the link here. the saves are either located in the same directory as the rest of the files, or in your “my games” folder, like many other steam games do. as this is early access, though, it’s most likely in the same directory as the rest of the game files. you can browse those files by right clicking “stonehearth” in your steam library, clicking properties, and then clicking “browse local files”.

I put all the files for the save there, fresh game, same issues. Thanks.

alright.

just so you know, I’m not one of the debuggers, most I could do is look at it and go “huh, so it is”. as it’s 3-6AM in the US, you will likely have to wait another 9 or so hours before someone will be able to help you with this. sorry I couldn’t be of more help.

No worries, I wasn’t expecting immediate help. Hopefully others can confirm if it is something just with my machine or not.

I think it’s clear to say he’s made new saves

I’m up to date! Don’t worry . . .

@darhoth - I had no problems with the save. Can you post the entire log file with the error message? Thanks!

I cut and pasted the errors above. I can find a log file tonight and post it as well when I am home. Thanks for taking a look.
