Day 8:
It has taken much effort on the leader’s part to quell premature celebration as the construction on the miner’s lodge draws near completion. The appearance of a small fluffy bunny hopping around the bushes in front of the site has been taken as a sign from the Ancient Ones, and they have spent the morning focused on nothing but the building.
Indeed, the workers may have taken the sign a bit too much to heart, for when the little bunny left to pursue food for itself…
Lorzen followed its lead quite literally.
Hyla, however, decided to not let the opportunity go to waste:

The leader had never seen such a feat before, and was entirely uncertain what to make of it, or do about it. She has granted the critter honorary citizenship in the community, while uncertain if it needs to be fed, penned, or otherwise, deciding to trust that Hyla has some idea of what to do with it.
When Havaad stopped by with his merchandise, everyone saw the leader give long consideration to the padded vest he had in his cart before turning over some of her prized oak saplings to buy it for Lueis. While she kept a collected expression while bartering for the spools of thread and bolts of cloth also among his wares for sale, there was no denying the smile that met her face when the guard donned the gift.
Even if Lueis himself doesn’t seem to understand what the glee was all about.
He chalks it up to the completion of the eastern gate

Though there was definitely no mistaking the leader’s squeal of delight when Lorzen’s new workshop was setup:
For that meant that he was finally skilled enough to make the Blacksmith’s Hammer she had been waiting for…
