Desert Transition Temperate (Multi biome map)

Knowing how biomes in Stonehearth work, I don’t think this would be possible.

Essentially, Stonehearth generates worlds using Simplex noise. It’s oftentimes used for creating heightmaps, but when used with biomes, it creates a kind of “band” pattern. Consequently, with the way SH generates worlds, you can’t just sprinkle microbiomes in there.

Although there might be hope – Bruno has made a desert oasis mod, as well as tiny islands in his Archipelago mod. I don’t know exactly how that works, but I guess it could be applied to this as well.

The idea is to generate two noises, one for each biome, and then one extra noise that would control (based on high or low values) who “own” that piece of the map, and plop the correct biome there using its own noise. Or even just a gradient going from left to right, where closer to the left, higher chance of biome 1, and closer to the right higher chance of biome 2.
But this will take time, it basically needs two big changes in the generation.
