Run an Empire (And Get off your Computer!)

The trouble with making games on Android is all the different screen sizes Apple there’s about 2-4 screen sizes Android there’s loads

well anyways the devs of this game has made a comment about this game and will be making an android version of the game but not at the same time like the stretch goals say

Great news everybody! As @blackArcher52 has pointed out, Pan Studios has made their goal of 15,000 pounds, and have included Run an Empire into Android betas!

and i’ve just now backed!

@2_Zons Well, there are a few reasons (to my knowledge) as to why they don’t develop for Android first.

  1. Android devices are kind of “all over the place” in terms of compatibility. Not everyone has the newest edition of an Android phone, and as such, not everyone’s phone is compatible with the same software.

  2. If you factor in the number of people with iPod Touches, the market share swings heavily in Apple’s favor.

  3. As has been said, Apple’s software is always on the same level, no matter what. The only exception to this rule would be if you still have an iPhone 1st or 2nd generation, which is a very small number at this point. Because of this, it makes it easier to develop apps for Apple devices across a broader spectrum.

Even as you keep these things in mind, though, remember that Apple is beginning to fall behind in the scheme of things, and lots of people are switching to Android devices. However, that’s just what I think is going on here.
