The flavor text you get when starting a new game (“escaping realism”, “indexing bugs”, “splining reticulators”, etc.) does not show up when loading a game. Minor thing, but it would be good (and probably quite simple) to add.
Strangely, heartbreakingly, no. That bar is rendered, if you would believe it, in C++. @not_owen_wilson can probably explain more. But I agree, it would be nice.
