Friends, I’ve never written mods to the game, but I have programming skills in several languages. However, for the meaningfulness of the gameplay, I’ll ask the question. Do I understand this code snippet correctly?
- If I dig the ground, will the stone or clay fall with a 1% chance?
- In 10,000 blocks of visible stone, 200 real stone blocks will be hidden, of which the resource itself may fall with a 50/100 chance? Similarly for gold: in 10,000 blocks of visible stone hidden 10 blocks of gold ore, and with a chance of 50 \ 100 gold itself may fall out during excavation?
It is not percentages, it is weights.
This means that if the item A has a weigh 1 and item B has a weight 2, we are talking about a total of 3, in which 2 will be B and 1 will be A.
So in the stones loot tables, 10000 is the weight of nothing, then there is 200 of stone. This means that in 10200 blocks, more or less 100 will be nothing and 200 will be stone.
The more specific kinds, like the ores loot tables, where you are seeing the 100 nothing and 50 ore means when you dig an ore vein! Not a stone block. In that case it is roughly 1/3 chance to drop the ore per block as 50 is one third of the total 150.
I understand how it works but that isn’t the issue. The issue is that my model is not exporting correctly and that the and is broken.
Its working fully now but I want to move it into its own mod folder but in-game it says invalid manifest even though i’m sure I copied everything over in to the mod folder.
originally it was saying invalid manifest because I had an empty folder in the mods folder called blood_ore so I got confused even though I was still having issues but now its a real issue.
if you share your manifest.json, perhaps someone could analyse it for you?
