Writer's Workshop 3: The Wrath of Mer!

your seven likes do indeed put you in the lead! :+1:

and we also have a serious three (or four?) way tie for second…

Hurray! Does this mean I get a subtitle?

In all seriousness, the winner should definitely be a story rather than singing (vocal competition when?).

That doesn’t seem so fair…being that this is a writer’s workshop, not a singer’s workshop. But whether that is included in the competition or not I must say @SirCamOfRon definitely deserves an award for that piece

My thoughts precisely, save perhaps the award. Give it to somebody who put effort into typing up a funny or awesome short story.

yeah, I suppose that would be a bit too lenient on the rules, wouldn’t it?

so… on the one hand, you should garner a title for the entry and likes, but we’ll reserve the competition titles to written submissions… sound fair?

Absolutely!

although, you already have a swank custom title… perhaps something more befitting a swarthy seafaring salty dog?

Are you buying me a boat? Make it a big one, I put a lot of effort into making that.

Meanwhile, @Newf sits in the corner, title-less

At the very least I think an “honourable mention” thing would be nice for any non-written entries in general.

Consider this an incentive to write a good story then  .

Are you saying my story is bad?

No he says that you should take it as a incentive to write as well as you are able to and then just a bit more.

Thanks, I didn’t want to get into goblins as everyone else did. So I went right to the heart of conflict.

Well I hope my contribution is an enjoyable read. Now I can finally read the other entrances

I like your story. And the introduction to cave trolls is a nice tough. I honestly want cave trolls to be added soon. Currently mining has no dangerous side effects.

Well, it’s looking pretty close IMHO. Not sure when @SteveAdamo plans to take a snapshot of the likes / votes and weigh in himself, but I’m guessing he’ll give some more time  . Go vote people  !

TBH I’ve hardly had a chance to read (or even listen :open_mouth: ) to much, but I’m thinking that’s probably best done after the competition closes. Having some commentary from @SteveAdamo on what he (dis-)liked about each story (even if only in terms of technical writing skills) would also be nice too.
