What about stairs to go up and down
Eventually worlds would end up colliding. There will be two components to multiplayer and I donât believe itâll be anything like a âco-opâ mode after some further reading. Internally, single player works by a server and a client being created. If you were to move that server away from the client, multiplayer could be implemented by multiple clients connecting to the one server. You canât have multiple worlds per server so you end up with one world that isnât part of anyoneâs singleplayer mode unless you copy the data.
co-op & trading could lead to specialized towns that only do one thing. mining town, farming town, tree orchard town, mercenary town, etc could be like a collection of independent counties forming a small city
Hello Everyone, stonehearth specifically states how it will work on their website. There is 3 main things to pay attention to.
Independent City Building
This is gona be my favorite. You and your friend can fight and have battles but also have a civilized way of life. Where you fight the other normal enemies together. Although your in different towns you can still have some form of interaction. Here is all the things I am guessing will also be true. You can trade with the other city. That is all the things I can think of.
Co Op City Building
This is where you and someone-else work on the same town together. You both expand the same town.
PvP
This will only work in Independent city building it will probably also be toggle-able. Maybe there will be some way to declare war mid game.
Thank you everyone.
Probably exactly like Civ V multiplayer works. With the option to be on the same team or not.
Look at my last post that is how it will work
coop would make this game better in my opinion because then you could play the game with a friend, you could build a city together i would support it much more if it was gonna come p.s i know its gonna come but i just feel like its gonna take ages before it comes out.
Once the basics are solid and working Iâm sure theyâll reconsider where on the timeline co-op is.
They want building and itâs tools completely working I think is their current priority. Theyâre starting to narrow down their target area of the game. So sooner or later itâd be at the stage Iâm guessing they want to be when they start multiplayer.
Hopefully sometime 2017 even.
