Hey Everyone! Thanks for all your thoughts.
To those of you who who have expressed confidence and support–thank you. It means the world to us.
To those of you who want more concrete reassurance that things aren’t going to change, all we can say in addition to the above is that Riot is full of Stonehearth fans, and we have the encouragement and support to pursue the vision of the game that Tom and Tony had from the beginning. For obvious reasons, we’re not going to discuss details of the deal, but rest assured that Stonehearth, as we have said repeatedly, is very much “full speed ahead.” It’s ok if you can’t believe this now, based on your experiences with other companies’ history, but I hope you’ll come to believe it as you watch our development continue. We’re days away from releasing Alpha 15 and are already at working on Alpha 16, which is a juicy combination of building enhancements and another step forward in the combat system. So you have this and many other Alphas to look forward to as we continue to bring Stonehearth to life.
To those of you who are feeling pessimistic about the future, we must, as a team, respectfully disagree, not just because we are sincerely optimistic about what’s to come, but because we have to. We are the creators of Stonehearth, and the moment we stop believing in the game we want to make, it will cease to exist. We’re fighters. That’s not going to happen.
The same is true of you, and this community.
Right now, Team Stonehearth has a bunch of bugs to fix and a mountain of features to chase. And you have a moddable and playable alpha for this great (we say modestly ;)) game installed on your computer. Furthermore, you’re surrounded by an awesome community full of friends, mods, and beautiful, inspiring builds. So again I challenge you: don’t erode this place with your uncertainty. Go make a mod, go design a template, go build a city, go show it off. Show your support for the Stonehearth you want, and help us make it happen.
I think we’re about good here, so we’re going to close the thread. If you have any further questions, suggestions, or support, feel free to contact us via PM!
