thanks @Oldra!
Iāve found a solution, or well somebody else did.
This has something to do with localization.
Youāll need to open the stonehearth.smod in say 7zip and add a dublicate of the en.json, with en renamed to your region in my case it was da.json as i live in Denmark.
Youāll also need to update the supported_languages.json.
Thereās an example in this tread for the Netherlands:
Same Error for me.
Clean Install of the unstable branch.
Error Message in the opening Menu. Missing portraits and the game closes as soon as I start loading the World.
I am running Windows 10, an i5 core with 3.10 Ghz, 8gb ram and a GeForce GTX 760.
stonehearth.log (34.0 KB)
Iāve got the same error.
Windows 10 x64
Nvidia Geforce 980X Titan 6GB
Intel Core i7 4980K
Thank you @Lasse_Westmark it works. ill update the title and original post so ppl with the problem can easily fix it
No problem
Just glad I can play again!
I can confirm this bug and yet Iām unable to play despite the fix by Lasse, I get all strings with something like āstonehearth:ui.shell.title_screen.settingsā, āstonehearth:ui.shell.title_screen.exitā, etc.
The fix from Lasse works for me. Hope it stays away and does not create more problems. Lucky I am from the Netherlands, made it easy for me.
you must make an duplicate of the en.json and name it ln.json
question to all ā¦ it is possible that only netherland has this issue? i found the info also in my log but have no issues?
Hi there, iĀ“ve got a Bug, too.
ThatĀ“s the message, that appears on the startingscreen, when I launch the game.

When I start a new Game it crashes after hitting the āembarkā button.
Does anyone know this bug? Thank you very very much in advance for your help.
Edit: iĀ“m from Germany and iĀ“m running Win10 64x
This is the exact bug this thread is about, and the one I posted a solution for.
Tx, cannot test right now but will do as soon as possible!
Hola! After updating to a12 the game crashes when loading.
IĀ“m now trying to restart pc, might be a temp-problem, but dunno jet.
Here is the error-log:

Edith says: restarting the machine does not solve the problemā¦
Edit2: whooops error is allready known, sorry.
Whew, I thought it was a worse crashā¦ This should be a piece of cake for @yshan and @Albert if you already found the fix
Thank you, everyone!!
No Problem It was just a little test and yup it works
and the fasted mainfix at the moment is to add āall languagesā as fakes in the smod-file. after they get completed translations they can replace them with the fakes xD
im at 50% at my translations - so i think 2/3 days and im finished ^^
Fix isnāt working on Windows 10 Enterprise. Changed en.json to nl.json but then it wont show any names. Just the link to it. Any help? When I rename it to NLD the same bug appears
where did it say change? you should copy it. So you should have to files, a nl.json file and a en.json file. (if you live in the NL that is)
Nevermind me, I failed bigtime. Didnāt read the fix all that well .
