So I was curious as to what hardware/software systems make boot time shorter. I’ll start:
Build:
Asus z-97-a motherboard
Intel i5 4690k @ 3.9ghz
gtx 770 4 gb (This is probably irrelevant, but I wanna see anyways)
8GB DDR3 RAM (1600mhz)
Windows 8.1 64bit
Using an SSD (Don’t know the name :()
Boot Time: 14.92 seconds
Wow, I CANNOT believe forgot to post my boot time!
Boot time to login 8 seconds then about a minute and a half for all my crap to load after I log in.
OS - Windows 8.1 Pro Processor - Intel Core i7-4771 (4 cores 8 threads @3.5GHz) Memory - 16GB 4x4DDR3 Corsair (its old transplanted from my previous motherboard I ran out of cash only 667MHz according to cpuid Video Card - NVIDIA Geforce GTX 750 ti - 2GB- single card Motherboard - Maximus VI Hero Power Supply - 900 watt somethingerotheridon’trememberwhat Hard Drive - Western Digital 1TB 7200rpm
Last bios time: 11secs. Best time on windows 8 and Mint was 7-8secs
OS - Windows Ult x64
Processor - Intel i5-2310 @2.90x2 [Pretty sure that it was quad, oh well]
Memory - 4GBx2 DDR3-1333 Corsair Vengence
Video Card - ATI Radeon 4550HD [512mb model]
Motherboard - Asus P8 Z77-V LX
Power Supply - 750 Watt Corsair modular PSU. That’s all I remember about it.
Primary Hard Drive - Some 80gb WDC drive 600mp/s [5400rpm?]
