Like, it’s one thing for a villager to be endangered because they were outside the walls while a raiding party rushes the village. It’s another thing entirely for them to prance right up to a group of orcs and expect to be totally fine. A good half of my villager deaths are on account of this.

Why don’t you just ring the town bell?
Because that caused that same villager to run towards the closest safety point. On the other side of the fight~
