Under-water trees

So I was playing the newest unstable, and I had way too many sapling, so I decided to plant it.

When I planted it, the game froze for about 5 second. I could still move the camera, but the engine seem to freeze. I don’t know why this is. Chopping them down had much lees of an effect (about 1 second), but i want to know if this could be fixed…

What a great observation @K00lman! Why did no one ever try and plant trees in the water?

I guess the watersystem still needs some tuning @Albert?

I’d image you’d have tried it for the swamp biome, to be honest.

I tried it a few alphas ago in the desert biome and had no issues – I’m guessing it’s come up with the water revamp.

I’ll just leave this here…

Things that spawn at world gen does not push the water out of their hitboxes, that is why it is not a problem in the swamp (or archipelago), the water is placed after them. Though moving or placing something will make the air pockets.

My only thought is that it would look cooler (more swamp-like) with Acacia trees.

This might be already fixed on new games in the latest version (see (R-780) Production Line Causes Lag (underwater mining slow)).
