Subject: A Sincere Message from a Korean Stonehearth Player

Dear Stephanie Dee,

Hello. I am a player from South Korea who recently discovered a game that you helped create, Stonehearth.

First of all, I would like to thank you for helping create such a wonderful game.

I was very sad when I learned that the original Stonehearth development team had stopped working on the game. I know that what I am about to ask may be an unreasonable request, and I sincerely apologize if it comes across that way, but I wanted to ask you anyway:

Would you and the original development team ever consider returning to Stonehearth, even just one more time?

I have played Stonehearth for around 100 hours, and I genuinely love this game. I have had so much fun playing it, and the more I played, the more I felt that Stonehearth was something truly special.

Even though I only discovered Stonehearth many years after it was released, it quickly became a game that I truly care about.

Stonehearth was created many years ago, and I understand that the technology available at the time placed limitations on things such as the game engine, performance, and AI. But technology has advanced tremendously since then. Today, there are much more powerful game engines, better optimization techniques, and far more advanced AI systems.

That made me wonder:

What could Stonehearth become if it were created again with today’s technology?

Stephanie, would you and the other original developers ever consider coming back someday and creating something like Stonehearth 2, using a modern game engine and today’s technology?

I understand that there were reasons why development ended, and I know that asking developers who have already moved on with their lives and careers to return to an old project may be asking far too much.

I also know that some people were angry or disappointed when Stonehearth’s development ended.

But I hope you remember something else as well.

There are still people who love Stonehearth and would be incredibly happy to see you and the original developers return someday.

Even after all these years, there are still players who care deeply about this game. There are players overseas, and there are players here in South Korea as well, who discovered Stonehearth years later and fell in love with it.

I am one of them.

So even though I know this is a very difficult and perhaps unrealistic request, I wanted to tell you personally:

Please don’t forget Stonehearth.

And if there is ever an opportunity someday, I sincerely hope you and the original development team will consider returning to this wonderful game.

Even if a sequel is impossible right now, just knowing that you might someday consider returning to the world of Stonehearth would mean a lot to me.

I do not speak English well, so I used AI to help translate and express this message. I sincerely hope that my feelings and intentions have been conveyed correctly.

I am not writing this message to criticize you or the other developers for ending development.

I am writing this because I genuinely love the game that you helped create.

Thank you, Stephanie, for being part of the team that created Stonehearth.

Even though I discovered it many years after its release, this game has given me more than 100 hours of enjoyment, and I am still playing it today.

I sincerely hope that someday, whether it is called Stonehearth 2 or something else, we might have the opportunity to enter the world of Stonehearth again.

And if that day ever comes, I will be one of the players waiting to play it.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read this long message.

From a Stonehearth player in South Korea who still loves the game,

Taejun Heo

I’ve been following and playing this game for many years, and I’ve bought it more than once… (I’ve lost accounts.) I fell in love with it when some classes didn’t even exist yet. I remember the game from its release in 2013 or 2014, I’m not sure exactly… When multiplayer and mods were just a dream… When there was no translation into my language yet. I got a lot of friends hooked on this game. And I’ll agree with you — I’d really like this game to live, to breathe, and for a second part to come out someday, but as far as I know, after Radiant Entertainment was bought by RIOT, we may never see a second part, or updates. Although I still look at the history of updates with hope, hoping to see an announcement of Stonehearth 2 or a major update…

Developers, if you see this — I’d also like you to return to the worlds of Stonehearth.
