Playing on peaceful and building another castle / wall, but that requires interior ladders (added after the building is constructed). They seem to exist still, because not only were these lanterns placed, but as the SS below shows, I couldn’t place one down the whole rampart where the previous one was (it also isn’t showing as a ghost for whatever reason).
