R-293 Pathfinder overload

yes this is the same thing that happened to me @glacierflame

Bug: Villagers freeze up. but camera and UI continues to work.

Summary:
During the course of general play my villagers will just freeze in place, time will stop passing and nothing will happen. However, I can still pan my camera around and access the UI buttons, remove and place stockpiles, plan buildings.

Steps to reproduce:
Nothing in particular seems to trigger it, has happened randomly in a number of maps and villagers. Although I’ve only noticed it recently, within the last patch or so.

Expected Results:
I expected the villagers to go about their business as usual.

Actual Results:
Villagers freeze in place while ui and camera remains operational. Upon opening the process bar (I’m sure it has a different name, but can’t recall it currently) at the bottom right pathfinder is maxed out at 99.9-100%.

Notes:
It does tend to eventually resolve itself but this can take up to 10 minutes.

Attachments:
I’ve attached a screenshot of the latest village that this has happened in.

Versions and Mods:
I’m running Stonehearth v0.1.0 (release 293) x64 build and have no additional mods running during this save game.

System Information:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 | AMD FX™-4170 Quad-Core Processor | 8GB system memory | AMD Radeon HD 7700

this is exactly what happened to me. You explained it so much better than I did. @Avandris

Should I post that bug report in a separate thread so that it is recognised as a bug report or is it okay here?

I’ve stopped playing for now as it gets to the point where my game will freeze up for 10 minutes unfreeze for five or so minutes and then do it again. Gets a little frustrating, but these things happen - such is the nature of an alpha.

This has happened to me of late, my town is maybe big? About six buildings and loads of supplies, I’ve found it happens mainly when, it seems. that the game is trying to get the hearthlings to move items and then path them to where to store them.

Example:

Box a is for pelts, but loaded with stone because before it was a general holder.

I have a bigger box for stone, this is box b, it’s full of food.

Box C is for food.

I click it so Box A no longer stores stone, hearthlings put stone from box a to box b, hearthlings are also moving food from box b to box C.

During this time I have full camera control, but the hearthlings stope moving, and the game will attempt to save but I can’t actually retrieve that save file.
