There seems to be a cap of 20 Hearthlings

this can be changed in the game settings under the “gameplay” tab, i believe the current max is 50.

I was in the blacksmith’s crafting menu and I brought up the Hearthling list. The Blacksmith’s Hammer (the button you use to craft things) showed up over the Hearthling roster. I just checked, it did the same with the other crafting menus. Examples here

Layering discrepency when UI screens overlap

Summary: Should these UI management screens even be allowed to be on screen at the same time? The mere fact that both display instead of the first closing before the second opens feels like a bug to me. In any case, when the Cook’s workbench UI is opened followed by the Hearthling task manager, the Cook’s spoon image is displayed above the task manager UI.
