Is ownership persistent between bed placements?

Subj. When you place a bed, set ownership, then order to pick up bed, then place it again, does it retain its previously set owner or is it reset?
I’d prefer the following logic:

  • Move object > preserve owner
  • Pick up object > reset owner

I wondered about that too, so I tried it out just today. I set ownership then moved it and it stayed under that hearthling’s ownership.

when destroying a house with remove it seems like they kept the bed for me even tho it was gone which made it really hard to know who really did not have a bed
