So uh either I am mistaken or this is not a door:
It would seem that either the person designing my house had eaten too many old berries or they just decided that houses are nicer when the enemy can run straight in and slaughter you

doors on first floor ! soooo useful 
The doors actually make sense this was before I build the defensive walls you could walk out on through the doors
now just dig trench, fill with water. ez moat. no one would dare attack you
they must be thinking, the designer will make a stair there
