so i got the heirbloom quest and i set a farmland to plant them but nobody planted any, is there a specific requirement like them being in a certain area/way?

now that i think about it i can’t figure out rice either, help would be very appreciated

how many farmers and fields do you have

It’s a bit far away but those are my fields and i have 3 farmers, 4 if you include the chef

i have 23 total people

picture is not very helpfull  
but I have 3/4 fields(dense fields mod)per farmer  
when I tell them to fallow or plant several new fields in 1 go it takes a decent amount of time  
they seem to prioritize existing and harvesting the fields over making new ones  
you can change the crops on a field without losing the existing ones it changes after harvest
