Goblin Chief: Y U No Come Back?

Build 2283 32 bit (64 bit STILL crashes and won’t launch on AMD).

Started new game and began rushing to build a wall around my camp. I get the Goblin chief’s warning pop up to give him stuffs. I had just saved the game before this message popped up. I let the message sit there a minute while I continued to finish my wall.

Game crashed with the window’s “this game has crashed” dialog. Ok, good thing I saved.

Reloaded the game just fine, but now the Goblin chief pop up does not occur. Reloaded same game half a dozen times and nothing.

Question is, where is it stored that the Goblin chief shows up if it popped up once but never again when the same game is repeatedly re-loaded?

Anyway, taking a break for awhile before playing the same game to day 10 over and over and over completely burns me out.

we have to wait till day 10! that is soo long!

its not always day 10, it just depends upon whether you have a certain amount of overall wealth.

i have over 8000 wealth but still no goblin king.

do you have buildings?

edit: also it took me quite awhile before i got a goblin camp.

I have not build any buildings.

@leetcat are you playing in normal or peaceful mode? I’m not sure the Goblin King will come if you’re in a peaceful game.

im pretty sure you have to have at least 1 building before he will come, not 100% certain though.

I’ve never had any buildings and he’s come in 3 different games (unless walls count as buildings). Point is, though, he came a minute after I saved the game. Game crashed, loaded save game and he never came back. By all rights, he should have popped up again soon after I loaded that save.

did you do anything different from the first time after you loaded?

I am in a normal game.

Can confirm: exiting the game loses the chief goblin’s message whether you read it or not.

How to repeat: wait for chief’s message on normal mode, when it pops up, save and exit.

Does it show up in your bulletins? (Bottom right corner, the exclamation point)
