There are baby dragons for backers.

or any high-tier town with a healthy bank balance/treasure trove; backers just get the option to start with baby dragons rather than having to buy them from merchants.

We also just added a new campaign where you can get a new unique kind of dragon. You have a chance of running into it every day after you hit tier 2.
