This leads me right to a gameplay question:

Should a worker be able to transport wounded or should **ONLY** the herbalist be able to do that?

Edit:
Okay, who should be able to transport wounded?

Both suggestions are worth considering.

I liked watching the knight come and save the passed out farmer. I think it should be anyone that you set to be able to rescue others. (Similar to the Job/Haul/Build options)

Also, fantastic animations. really conveys a lot of emotion and care.

I like this idea… and I do think Hauling is separate from Rescuing. I might want my non-classed worker Hearthlings to Rescue, but not my non-military specialists, for example.

What if the wounded Hearthling passes away while being carried? Can that happen? Would it make the carrier traumatized? would they shake their fists to the heavens and say Noooooo!!! Would they just pause set them back down gently on the ground and quietly mourn for a moment?

I really like BOTH the feature AND the devs’ comments. That’s what makes Radiant cool - they really stay in touch with the community and create those sneak-peeks into their work while remembering to actually do it.
I’m not a gamedev myself (and I doubt I will ever be), but these fragments touch my heart as a one who had a share of programming.

PS. Oh. And animations… They are… Nope, that’s not tears. That’s liquid joy.
PPS. On a more serious note: I understand creating animations seamlessly combining two rigs is very difficult. But I find it not always appropriate to see one hearthling carry another on their hands (like, when a common female worker carries a bulky knight in full plate). Perhaps it would be good to have an alternative animation, like carrying on the shoulders?
And for those who think it is not as touching:

The ad depicts (if with artistic freedom) a true historic event called [the siege of Weinsberg](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siege_of_Weinsberg).

more animations are always nice 🙂
however, the awkward situation you just described is what gives the game some charm, and allows the player to imagine some pretty hilarious backstory

Actually combat units take precedence for rescuing others.
But you always want to make sure that your town is safe before attempting a rescue anyway. 🙂

@Relyss If the hearthlings are dying of hunger while recovering in bed after being rescued, then something needs to be added. As suggested in another thread, perhaps having the herbalist feed them while they’re lying there. Or just have hunger temporarily removed during the healing time.
